This Job Is Commission Based at 20% of Event Invoice Rate ( this means you will start out by receiving 20% of the event invoice total of jobs that you have secured with no cap) until business operations are concurrently stable-meaning consistent events on the books) after new business stabilization accounts are readied based upon revenue an hourly wage would also become available. negotiable contract available Overview We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Events to lead our comprehensive event strategy, ensuring memorable experiences that elevate our brand and foster meaningful connections. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and management of a diverse portfolio of events, from large-scale conferences to intimate gatherings. Your leadership will drive innovative event marketing initiatives, optimize budgets, and cultivate strong relationships with clients and vendors. The ideal candidate is energetic, highly organized, and possesses a passion for creating impactful events that resonate with audiences and support organizational goals. Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic event plans aligned with organizational objectives, ensuring seamless delivery from concept to completion Lead and manage a team of event planners, coordinators, and support staff to achieve high standards of performance and collaboration Oversee event marketing campaigns to maximize attendance, engagement, and brand visibility across multiple channels Manage event budgets meticulously, negotiating contracts with vendors, venues, caterers, and entertainment providers to secure the best value Coordinate all logistical aspects of events including venue selection, catering arrangements, technical setups, guest accommodations, and transportation Utilize event management software and CRM systems to streamline planning processes, track attendee data, and evaluate event success metrics Foster excellent client communication by understanding their needs, providing professional guidance, and ensuring exceptional guest services throughout the event lifecycle Skills Seeking out customers, Proven expertise in negotiation and upselling techniques to enhance event value and revenue opportunities Strong background in event marketing strategies with experience in digital promotion and audience engagement Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for planning documentation and presentations Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with exceptional time management skills Extensive experience in managing event budgets and controlling costs without compromising quality Skilled in using event management software platforms for registration, ticketing, logistics coordination, and reporting Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction, team leadership, and vendor negotiations Hospitality industry experience with knowledge of banquet operations, catering services, guest relations, and fundraising activities Ability to lead cross-functional teams with strong organizational skills and a focus on delivering outstanding customer service Familiarity with CRM systems for attendee tracking and relationship management Technical proficiency in audio/visual equipment setup and troubleshooting during live events Join us as our Director of Events to deliver extraordinary experiences that inspire audiences while driving organizational success.
