Your leads:
a mix of inbound inquiries from our website and wedding platforms, plus the relationships and referrals you build yourself.
Your support system:
full culinary, operations, production and venue teams behind every proposal, so your job is the vision and the close, not the execution.
Your book:
you own your pipeline from first conversation to signed contract, and every relationship you build that can lead to anniversaries, milestone celebrations, referrals and future events. Own the Couple and Client Journey from Inquiry to Booking At Zilli Hospitality Group, our Social Event Designers are often among the first people a couple, family or host meets. A newly engaged couple may have a vision, a guest count and dozens of ideas but need a trusted guide to bring everything together. A family may want a milestone birthday, anniversary, or celebration of life to feel deeply personal and effortless. That is where you come in. As a Social Event Designer, you will take clients from inquiry to inspiration to proposal to booked celebration. You will ask the questions that uncover their story, priorities, traditions and style, then bring together food, beverage, service, venues, rentals and design into an experience that feels unmistakably theirs. This is an ideal role for someone who loves weddings and meaningful celebrations-and gets equally excited about earning a couple's trust and winning the sale. What You'll Do Own a pipeline of weddings and social inquiries Respond to and develop qualified leads from couples, families, hosts and referral partners Build trusted relationships with prospective clients, and lead discovery conversations that uncover each client's story, priorities, traditions, preferences and non-negotiables Translate those conversations into compelling, highly personal event concepts and proposals Recommend menus, beverages, service styles, venues, rentals, room layouts and design elements that bring the celebration to life Present proposals in a way that helps couples and families understand the experience, value and investment Manage your pipeline from consultation through venue tours, tastings, proposal revisions and signed contract Follow up thoughtfully and keep couples and hosts confident, informed and excited throughout the decision process Consistently contribute to individual and company revenue goals Develop relationships with venues, planners and industry partners that generate wedding and social-event referrals What You'll Bring Sales experience in weddings, social events, catering, hospitality, luxury service or another relationship-driven field A track record of closing business and the confidence in discussing budget and investment directly Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities at different stages all at the same time A creative eye for weddings, tablescapes, menus, beverage, décor and guest experience, paired with genuine curiosity about each client's story Warm, polished and persuasive communication, including consultation, proposal writing and client presentations A collaborative mindset for working across culinary, operations, production, venue teams and outside event partners Familiarity with CRM or sales pipeline tools is a plus You'll Love This Role If You hear "new wedding inquiry" and immediately want to know their story. You can talk with a couple and quickly begin seeing the room, the menu and the moments they want their guests to remember. You love putting ideas together, and you also love the moment they say, "This feels exactly like us." You follow up because you are genuinely invested in earning their trust and their business. You can guide several couples and families through different stages of planning without losing sight of the details that matter to each of them. You understand that a beautiful proposal is the beginning of a relationship. You know how to present it, explain it, refine it and help a couple or host move forward with confidence. You have taste, passion, curiosity and ideas. You also have drive. You want to book weddings and celebrations people will remember. Why Zilli Zilli Hospitality Group has spent decades building a reputation across Milwaukee and Southeastern Wisconsin for weddings and social events that feel personal, polished and genuinely memorable.
