Events & Catering Job Summary Glorious Affairs is seeking Catering Service Staff to handle the setup, service, and breakdown of catered events on and off premises. This role is essential to delivering a polished, professional guest experience at weddings, corporate functions, and private parties hosted or catered by Glorious Affairs. Two positions are open. Key Responsibilities Set up event spaces, including tables, linens, place settings, buffet lines, and service stations, per event specifications Provide attentive food and beverage service to guests during events, including plated, buffet, and passed hors d'oeuvres service Assist with food transport, staging, and presentation while maintaining food safety standards during transport and holding Break down and clean event spaces at the conclusion of service, ensuring venues are left in excellent condition Communicate professionally and courteously with guests, clients, and event hosts Support the Event & Catering Coordinator and Executive Chef with any additional on-site needs during events Follow all food safety, alcohol service, and workplace safety guidelines Qualifications Prior experience in catering, banquet, or restaurant service preferred, but not required; training provided Friendly, professional demeanor with strong customer service skills Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, physically active environment Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the event calendar Reliable transportation to off-site event venues Food handler's certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout an event shift Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs Ability to perform repetitive bending, reaching, and carrying tasks Embark on a rewarding journey where your hospitality talents shine!
