BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB
Responsible for operational duties related to the care, maintenance and operations of the entire building. Responsible for the setting up and breaking down of rooms, halls, lobbies, etc. In charge of inventories of maintenance supplies, table, chairs, tools and machinery.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
In charge of room sets, tables, chairs, linens, skirting, room signs, marquee sign, cones outdoor signage, barricades, pipe/drape, AV sets, projection equipment, light sets, banners, etc. in accordance with BEOs and as instructed by director, event coordinator, chef, supervisor, client etc. Serve as backup for other Conference Center staff including answering phones and assisting clients with event scheduling. Other reasonable requests as directed. Assist with Front of House as needed, pre-sets, run food, bus, décor; check beverage/food levels during weekday/evening events. Keep stock of A/V equipment/supplies as needed batteries, etc. Monitor, order, stock main supply as needed for light bulbs, filters, etc. Replace flags in entry as needed, interior and exterior. Keep Conference Center in Good Running Order. Assist Back of House, Front of House, Chef and all employees as needed. Operate various cleaning equipment including buffers, sweepers, and vacuums. Knowledge of and ability to setup and operate audio-visual equipment - such as VCR/DVD/TV, stage sound board and lights, projection systems, and basic computer skills and ability to learn computer software program for diagramming room setups with client.
Provide excellent customer service:
greet each customer by making eye contact and smiling throughout your interaction. Regular attendance is required. Perform other reasonable duties as requested to fulfill the job responsibilities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Formal Education:
High school diploma or equivalency.
Experience:
No experience required.
Other Requirements:
Valid Texas Operator Driver's License and reliable transportation.
Interpersonal:
Duties require the ability to interact with citizens and coworkers in a pleasant manner.
FLSA:
Non-Exempt, full-time
Salary:
$18.00/hr. -
