Purpose:
Assist the Legacy Director and Assistant I in the coordination of activities, events, and trips, as well as day-to-day office administration, Legacy Outreach, SBF Legacy class and SBF Adult Bible Fellowship class.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the coordination of ministry activities, events, and trips. Help prepare room on Sunday morning for Legacy & ABF SBF's with tables, video/slides, audio, and paperwork. Act as the initial point of contact for members and first-time visitors or walk-ins for Legacy class. Assist in preparing programs and theme-related decorations for events. Gather food-related items such as plates, plastic-ware, napkins, cups, drink coolers, etc. Gather fellowship-related items such as nametags, sharpies, tablecloths, and games. Develop publicity and printed materials for events. Deliver materials needed for events to the event location (SBF's, seminars, banquets, and other events). Put away and clean all items following an event. Act as the initial point of contact for phone calls and walk-ins in the Legacy office. Build relationships with Legacy class members in spending time, listening, visiting and encouraging. Maintain an active list of Legacy members who are homebound, in the hospital, Rehab or long-term care facility, or those who are sick. Coordinate volunteers for events, office assistance, and special requests. Facilitate communication for trips and activities in support of Legacy. Publicize trips through brochures and other church communication forums. Edit, publish and distribute newsletters/Legacy monthly. Assist in planning, logistics, and reservations for transportation, meals, lodging, activities for trips and events. Develop and oversee lists of participants, volunteers, and recordkeeping. Design flyers, posters, cards and media for promoting studies, activities and events. Provide day-to-day administrative support and assistance in the processing of reimbursement requests. Order office-supplies and Bible study curriculum (Legacy Outreach). Maintain office calendar and scheduled Legacy events, activities, and trips using the church's facilities software. Assist in visiting seniors in the hospital and at home. Connect with Legacy families on a consistent basis either with home visits or phone calls. Send get-well cards, volunteer thank you cards, and general cards of encouragement. Seek to connect Legacy members to ministry opportunities and other members. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education, Training, Knowledge, Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent Experience with MS Office Suite and Pages Understands and agrees to the doctrinal statement and core distinctives of Denton Bible Church Member of Denton Bible Church Self-starter who demonstrates initiative

Exhibits a personal and growing relationship with God, building on a foundation of the Word and prayer Able to work well in a team Ability to effectively minister to senior adults Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships, while maintaining a high level of organization, efficiency, and attention to detail.
