Assistant Position Available at MJ Photography & Events! Mara Jade Photography & Events is looking for a friendly, dependable, and professional assistant to join our team! This position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, events, photography, and creative projects and is willing to learn. Responsibilities The assistant may be responsible for: Assisting with setup and breakdown of rental items for client events Setting up items such as flower walls, neon signs, prop tables, and smaller décor Assisting with photography services when needed Assisting with content creation when needed Helping ensure event setups are clean, organized, and ready for clients Interacting professionally and respectfully with clients and guests Assisting with a variety of events, including baby showers, weddings, birthday celebrations, portrait sessions, and other smaller events Qualifications We're looking for someone who is: Friendly and professional Dependable and punctual Comfortable working around large groups of people Comfortable interacting with clients and guests Willing to learn and take direction Able to work well independently and as part of a team Able to lift and/or carry approximately 45 lbs for short periods of time Comfortable with occasional physical setup and breakdown of event equipment Photography experience is a plus, but not required — a willingness to learn is what matters most! About the Position Event locations and schedules will vary depending on our bookings. Some assignments may be shorter events or portrait sessions, while others may involve larger events such as weddings and celebrations.
