Overview The Operations Staff perform event setup and teardown, custodial, housekeeping, and light maintenance tasks as assigned. The part-time event-based Operations Staff supports the planning, setup, execution, and breakdown of events. This role ensures smooth event operations by assisting with logistics, customer service, venue preparation, and coordination with event organizers, vendors, and attendees. Part-time, event-based (schedule varies based on event needs and availability). This role will pay an hourly rate of $10.00-$12.00.

Assist guests, attendees, and vendors with inquiries and directions. Monitor event flow and address operational issues as they arise. Monitor inventory and supplies during events. Coordinate with event coordinators, vendors, and venue staff. Assist with loading and unloading event materials and equipment. Ensure timely delivery and placement of event resources. Greet guests and provide professional, friendly assistance. Assist with dismantling event setups after completion. Organize, pack, and store equipment and materials. Clean event spaces and ensure venues are returned to their original condition. Report damaged or missing equipment to supervisors. Follow all workplace health and safety procedures. Identify and report hazards, accidents, or incidents immediately. Ensure compliance with venue and company operational standards. Assemble, position, break down, and store staging, seating, tables, staging equipment, bike racks, pipe and drape, and audio/visual support hardware according to floor plans and event specifications. Perform routine housekeeping duties, including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, restroom sanitation, pressure washing, and maintaining common areas before, during, and after events. Safely operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, utility carts, and floor scrubbers to transport supplies, equipment, and trash across the venue. Assist in rapid room and venue conversions between back-to-back scheduled events, adhering strictly to tight timelines. Inspect facilities for hazards, address minor spills or obstacles immediately, and report safety issues, structural damage, or malfunctioning equipment to supervisors. Inspect, clean, and properly store tools, machinery, furniture, and event assets to extend equipment lifespan and prevent loss. Provide brief, polite assistance to venue visitors, vendors, and clients when requested during event hours. Help create a positive event experience for all attendees. Other tasks as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in events, hospitality, customer service, or operations is an advantage. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors under varying weather conditions. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull event equipment and materials. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
