Job Description
Venue Manager Spicewood, Texas | Full-Time, On-Site | Tuesday -
Saturday Salary:
$60,000 + Same-Day Booking Bonuses
OUR PURPOSE
At Camp Hideaway, our purpose is to love people through hospitality. We're stewards of the guest experience and the land God entrusted to us. We nourish, provide, and sacrifice for others — that's what we're here for. If that resonates with you, this might be the right place.
JOB SUMMARY
We're looking for a hospitality-minded, sales-savvy Venue Manager to own the day-to-day experience at Camp Hideaway Gruene. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves people, takes pride in a beautiful property, knows how to create memorable experiences, and doesn't wait around for someone else to solve a problem. You'll be the on-site quarterback for the Spicewood property — welcoming and touring prospective clients, supporting booked events, coordinating with vendors and our internal team, maintaining venue readiness, and making sure our guests experience Camp Hideaway at its best. This isn't a sit-behind-a-desk management job. Some days you'll be giving a tour and helping close a wedding. Other days you'll be preparing for a corporate retreat, walking the property with maintenance, coordinating with vendors, or solving an unexpected guest need. Your job is to take ownership of the property and the people experiencing it.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Guest & Client Experience:
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and help create an exceptional experience from planning through event execution.
Tours & Sales:
Deliver memorable, relationship-first venue tours, understand what clients are looking for, and confidently ask for the business.
Event Coordination:
Help clients prepare for successful weddings, retreats, corporate events, and other gatherings while coordinating details with vendors and our internal team.
Venue Readiness:
Ensure Camp Hideaway Gruene is consistently clean, beautiful, organized, tour-ready, guest-ready, and event-ready.
Property Operations:
Coordinate closely with housekeeping, maintenance, vendors, and other team members to identify needs and ensure the property is operating at a high level.
Local Business Development:
Build relationships with planners, businesses, organizations, and other community partners who can help introduce new guests and events to Camp Hideaway.
Systems & Communication:
Keep event, client, and sales information organized and up to date while proactively communicating priorities, issues, and opportunities to the team.
Problem Solving:
Take ownership when something unexpected happens. Find solutions, communicate clearly, and know when to bring in additional support.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for someone who is: Naturally hospitable and energized by serving people Confident, relational, and comfortable selling
• Organized and highly attentive to detail Proactive and able to operate without constant oversight Comfortable making decisions and solving problems Able to manage multiple clients, events, and priorities at once Comfortable working in a fast-moving hospitality and events environment Proud of maintaining a beautiful, well-run property Collaborative and comfortable working across sales, events, operations, housekeeping, maintenance, and outside vendors Comfortable learning and working within systems such as TripleSeat and property-management software Willing to work a schedule that reflects the realities of hospitality, including some evenings and weekends based on tours and events Weekly schedule of Wednesday - Sunday Experience in hospitality, event venues, hotels, resorts, weddings, property management, and/or sales is strongly preferred.
COMPENSATION
Base Salary:

ABOUT CAMP HIDEAWAY
Camp Hideaway creates one-of-a-kind Hill Country experiences for weddings, corporate retreats, private events, and getaways across our Texas properties. We're not trying to simply provide a venue or a place to sleep. We're creating spaces where people can step away from everyday life, gather together, celebrate, connect, and make memories. At Gruene, the Venue Manager plays a huge role in making that happen. If you're someone who sees what needs to be done, loves people well, takes ownership, and gets excited about creating unforgettable experiences, we'd love to meet you.
