Job Description

Hosts & Events Coordinator Cielo Supper Club Arlington, VA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $16 - $45 an hour 14 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Employee discount Flexible schedule Qualifications Teamwork OpenTable Attention to detail Organizational skills Restaurant experience Full Job Description We're building something new in Clarendon. Our supper club brings together upscale Latin-inspired dining, craft cocktails, immersive design, and nightlife under one roof. Early in the evening, guests experience elevated dining in a lively, sophisticated atmosphere. As the night progresses, the energy shifts—with a DJ on Friday and Saturday nights and the restaurant transforming into a true nightlife experience. Our dining room features two distinct environments: one surrounded by immersive LED screens and another offering a darker, more intimate atmosphere. As a brand-new concept, this is an opportunity to join the team at the beginning and help shape the guest experience as we grow. HOST We are looking for a polished, energetic, and highly organized Host who thrives in a high-volume environment and understands that the guest experience begins the moment someone walks through the door.
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience as a host in an upscale, high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment Experience with OpenTable and/or Resy Professional, confident, and welcoming demeanor Excellent communication and phone etiquette Ability to manage a busy reservation book and high guest volume Strong multitasking and organizational skills Ability to remain calm, composed, and personable during busy service Takes initiative rather than waiting to be asked Comfortable answering phones, managing reservations, seating guests, and communicating with the restaurant team Strong attention to detail Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Comfortable working in an environment that transitions from upscale dining into nightlife
The Right Person:
You understand that being a great host is about more than standing at the door. You know how to control the flow of a dining room, communicate with guests and the team, anticipate problems before they happen, and make every guest feel welcomed from the moment they enter the building. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment, take pride in hospitality, and want to be part of building a new concept from the ground up, we'd love to meet you.
EVENTS COORDINATOR
We are also looking for an experienced, outgoing, and driven Events Coordinator to help build and grow our private events and group business. This role is more than simply coordinating events—we are looking for someone who can help bring the events to us.
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience in restaurant events, hospitality, catering, nightlife, or a similar environment Experience with Tripleseat Experience managing private events, group dining, celebrations, corporate events, and/or nightlife events Strong sales and relationship-building skills A professional, polished, and confident presence Excellent communication and follow-up skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Comfortable handling a high volume of inquiries while maintaining attention to detail Experience with OpenTable and/or Resy is a plus Ability to communicate effectively with guests, vendors, managers, and the service team Self-motivated and proactive Strong understanding of hospitality and the guest experience Ability to identify opportunities to generate additional event and guest revenue Business Development Is Important The ideal Events Coordinator is not someone who simply waits for inquiries to arrive. We want someone who can help us build an events business from the ground up —someone with relationships, ideas, initiative, and the ability to create opportunities. You should be comfortable networking, developing relationships with local businesses and organizations, following up with potential clients, promoting the space, and finding creative ways to bring new groups and events through our doors. If you already have a book of business, industry relationships, corporate contacts, event-planning connections, or a strong local network , we want to hear from you.
WHY JOIN US?
This is a chance to join a brand-new supper club concept in Clarendon at the beginning of its growth. You won't be stepping into an established restaurant with years of routines and expectations. You'll have the opportunity to help establish the culture, guest experience, and reputation of the concept as we grow. And this is only the beginning. The company plans to open an additional concept in Washington, DC , giving strong team members the opportunity to grow with the company as it expands. Interested? We're looking for people who are professional, energetic, proactive, hospitality-driven, and excited to be part of something new. If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!
