Job Description

Title:
Administrative Assistant & Events Coordinator Application Review Date:

Campus Location:
Radford City - Main Campus Job Description Administrative support/office management (reception, records, class scheduling, appointment scheduling, data collection/analysis, research and inventory) and primary point of contact for division information; manage multiple division/grant budgets; manage theatre production preparation (contracts, payment, travel i.e. meals, transportation, lodging). Accurately prepare quote/purchase requests, reconciliation of department card purchases/payments; process all department expenditures. Supervise student workers. Assist chair in theatre with accreditation data. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
  • Knowledge of general office practice and procedures.
  • Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and creatively solve problems.
  • Knowledge of general office practices, procedures, and equipment.
  • Experience providing programmatic and/or administrative support in an academic or professional environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to use various computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work with confidential information.
  • Demonstrated organizational, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to relate well with various people.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong fiscal/bookkeeping experience. Working knowledge of Banner, eVA, Cognos, People Admin and EPAF preferred.
  • Working knowledge of university policies and procedures related to the fiscal process.
  • Supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Preference for education in business-related field.
