JOB DESCRIPTION

Catering Event Staff:

Servers, Bartenders, Kitchen Support - Summer 2026 Heritage Catering is seeking event-based staff to assist our team during the busy summer season! We work with corporate and private customers to create extraordinary dining experiences, including partnering with the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra as the premier caterer for table patrons during the Concerts on the Square event series. Join our staffing pool to bid on shifts throughout the entire summer with plenty of opportunities to choose shifts that work for YOUR schedule! No experience necessary for some positions. Candidates with more than three years in the food service industry will be given priority roles.

OPPORTUNITIES & ROLES

@ Events (Madison and surrounding areas): : execute event services as defined in BEO, manage FOH staff, interact professionally with on-site clients and vendors, load and unload of catering vehicles, drive catering vehicles to and from events. 2+ years event and/or food service experience necessary. : act as lead server to table guests, confirm food and beverage orders, assist with additional purchases. 2+ years server experience necessary. : run food, pass appetizers, replenish food stations, bus. Experience not necessary. : tend bar from simple beer & wine menus to full open-bar liquor menus. Experience necessary; bartending license not required. Must be 21+. : load and unload catering vehicles, assist with event set-up, float between FOH and BOH during service, drive catering vehicles to and from events. Experience not necessary. : build food boards, replenish menu items, plate-up. Experience not necessary. @ Heritage Catering facility (Fitchburg): Assist FOH team with operations, packing, loading and unloading catering vehicles. Experience not necessary. : prepare food, build food boards. Experience not necessary. : clean catering rentals and equipment. Experience not necessary.

SCHEDULE

Kitchen Support & Event Support shifts available weekly to help prepare for events. 6 Wednesday evenings in summer: 6/24, 7/1, 7/8, 7/15, 7/22, 7/29 Rain dates on Thursday evenings: 6/25, 7/2, 7/9, 7/16, 7/23, 7/30

Shifts:

1:00-11:00pm for Event Support 3:30-9:30pm for Kitchen Support, Table Captains 5:00-9:30pm for Food Runners/Servers Our team is continually adding more events throughout the summer and beyond, with plenty of opportunities for additional shifts!

WAGES & BENEFITS

We offer wages ranging from $16-$25/hour. Base wage is dependent on the position and your experience level. $16/hour +: Food Runners, Event Support, Kitchen Support $20/hour +: Servers, Bartenders $24/hour +: Event Leads, Table Captains Benefits include: Tips possible Employee discount at Heritage Tavern Growth potential beyond Summer 2026

ABOUT US:

We operate three businesses in the Madison area: Heritage Catering, Heritage Tavern, and Fox Heritage Farms. We are a family business at the core and have staff that have been with the company for many years. We bring on new staff each season to support our teams and enjoy cross-training staff across different areas of the business. We prioritize sourcing locally and raise our own hogs to maintain the closest connection of farm-to-table across our businesses. Heritage Catering, based in Fitchburg, WI, has been providing upscale catering services to both private and corporate customers in and around the Madison area since 2012. We have been the Premier Caterer for Concerts on the Square for several seasons and look forward to another great season in 2026! Our team is growing and we are excited to welcome new members to execute successful events for our clients. Heritage Tavern is an independent restaurant that is family owned and operated and located in the heart of downtown Madison, WI. We offer a sophisticated atmosphere with fine dining service and a fun craft cocktail bar. We have been successfully operating since 2013 with a rotating menu with fresh, farm-to-table influences and old world classics. We work with local ingredients from farmers in Dane County and high quality meats from our own animals and meat processing facility. Fox Heritage Farms/Willow Creek is our meat processing facility and home office, located in Prairie du Sac. We have a central office at this location and operate a small meat market for the public. In partnership with small WI family farms, we breed and raise our Berkshire hogs on open pasture, without antibiotics or hormones. All products we sell are produced by our local team and out of our own meat processing facility. We sell products both wholesale and retail.
