Performance Food Group is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to support our fast-paced wholesale food distribution operations. In this role, you will accurately pick, pack, and stage outgoing orders, verify documentation, create shipping labels, and coordinate carrier pickups. You'll use warehouse systems, RF scanners, and material handling equipment while following strict safety, quality, and food handling standards. Working closely with warehouse and transportation teams, you'll help ensure on-time, error-free deliveries to our restaurant, healthcare, and retail customers while growing your skills in logistics and distribution. Responsibilities Pick, pack, and stage outbound orders accurately and on time Verify shipping documents, counts, and product codes against orders Prepare bills of lading, labels, and other shipping paperwork Use WMS and RF scanners to track inventory and shipments Coordinate carrier pickups and communicate with drivers Inspect outbound loads for accuracy, condition, and securement Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely Follow all food safety, quality, and OSHA safety standards Assist with cycle counts and inventory reconciliation Collaborate with warehouse and transportation teams to resolve shipping issues Required Skills Order picking Shipping & receiving Inventory control Warehouse management systems (WMS) Pallet jack operation Forklift operation Basic computer skills Bill of lading preparation RF scanner use Attention to detail
