Mitchell Grocery is a fast-growing retail supermarket chain, and we are hiring experienced Deli-Bakery Clerks in several of our Marshall County, AL and other locations in Alabama. Pay is dependent upon your experience. Deli-Bakery Clerks are responsible for preparing baked goods and displaying those goods and deli items. Clerks will also operate mixers, ovens, scales, slicers, fryers, as well as wrap and price items within the deli-bakery department. Other duties include icing pastries, decorating cakes, filling displays, and assisting customers while maintaining a clean work area and following all safety and health and food regulations set in place by the store and local health department.

Requirements/Skills:

Proven work experience as a Deli Clerk or similar role Excellent customer service, communication and math skills to process customer orders Ability to comprehend and follow all company procedures and regulations regarding food handling and sanitation A courteous and efficient approach to handling customer requests, questions and complaints
