ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Stocks and straightens merchandise and supplies. Correctly prices all processed, fresh, and frozen meat merchandise, including use of scale and proper price changing procedures. Rotates merchandise as necessary according to product expiration dates. Performs basic housekeeping duties using available equipment, (mops, brooms, floor scrubbing machines, sanitizing equipment, etc.). Operates all required tools and equipment in a safe manner except when restricted due to age. Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in temperature extremes, (frozen food and meat coolers, maximum low temperature, -10 degrees). Standing for extended periods of time to perform job functions.

SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS

Receives and unloads truck deliveries using available equipment and according to established guidelines. Maintains a neat and clean work area. Identifies the basic varieties of beef, pork, lamb and veal and poultry. Identifies acceptable temperature ranges for all meat cases and coolers. Performs all job functions at an acceptable level of speed and accuracy. Performs all job functions with limited supervision. Follows proper wrapping procedure, including the use of the correct size tray and plastic wrap. Follows established guidelines for all paperwork and forms Ability to lift and move items over 50 pounds Other duties as assigned

• Follows dress code. Follows written and oral instructions. Follows established safety policies and procedures. Works well with others. Speak English fluently. Eyesight corrected to 20/20 Hearing corrected to normal range. Possess full range of motion on shoulders, arms, hands, legs and feet.
