Responsibilities Prepare and assemble a variety of deli foods, including slicing meats, cheeses, and preparing salads or hot foods with precision and care Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with product selections, answering questions, and offering recommendations to enhance their experience Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices Restock deli items regularly to ensure freshness and availability for customers Upsell products by suggesting complementary items or specials to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction Assist with food prep tasks such as portioning, wrapping, and labeling products while adhering to safety guidelines Qualifications Prior experience in food preparation, food service, or retail environments is preferred; culinary experience is a plus Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management Experience working in quick service restaurants or grocery stores is beneficial but not required; willingness to learn is essential Join us as a Deli Associate and bring your energy, enthusiasm, and dedication to a team committed to quality food service!
