The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving deli products. This role requires a strong focus on food safety, sanitation, and maintaining a clean work environment. The Deli Associate will work in a fast-paced setting, ensuring that customers receive high-quality food and service. Responsibilities Prepare and serve deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches according to company standards. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, ensuring compliance with health regulations. Operate cash registers accurately for cash handling and processing customer transactions. Assist customers with their selections, providing recommendations and answering questions about products. Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking deli supplies as needed. Follow food handling guidelines to ensure the safety and quality of all food products. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of the deli department. Qualifications Previous experience in a quick service fast food restaurant or grocery store is preferred but not required. Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards is a plus. Ability to operate a cash register and handle cash transactions accurately. Strong communication skills with a customer-focused attitude. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks as needed in the deli department.
