This is a customer-facing culinary position for someone who enjoys preparing exceptional food, connecting with customers, and jumping in wherever needed. The ideal candidate has previous culinary experience, solid knife skills, and a genuine passion for great customer service. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude, clean workspace, and careful attention to every order. Responsibilities Prepare gourmet sandwiches according to established recipes, portions, and presentation standards Complete daily food preparation, including slicing, chopping, portioning, and organizing ingredients Safely and confidently use knives and standard commercial kitchen equipment Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, attentive service Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and our seed-oil-free approach Accurately enter orders and process payments using a point-of-sale system Follow recipes and kitchen procedures consistently Maintain proper food temperatures, sanitation, and food-safety practices Keep workstations, equipment, counters, and customer areas clean and organized Restock ingredients and supplies throughout the shift Handle multiple orders and responsibilities while maintaining quality and accuracy Assist with additional market and kitchen duties wherever needed Communicate clearly and work cooperatively with the entire team Qualifications Previous culinary, restaurant, deli, café, or food-preparation experience required Strong knife skills and a basic understanding of food preparation Ability to follow recipes, portion standards, and written procedures Excellent customer service and communication skills Friendly, outgoing personality and a positive, team-oriented attitude Comfortable learning and operating a point-of-sale system Ability to multitask and remain organized during busy service periods Familiarity with whole ingredients and seed-oil-free cooking practices preferred Understanding of kitchen sanitation, cross-contamination prevention, and safe food handling Must have or obtain a valid Arizona Food Handler's Card Dependable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and carry routine kitchen supplies We are looking for someone who takes pride in their food, treats every customer like a neighbor, and understands that great service is just as important as a great sandwich.

Pay:

$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
