Part-Time About J&A KidCo J&A KidCo provides fun, dependable childcare for families through special events, enrichment programs, and supervised play experiences. Position Overview J&A KidCo is looking for a dependable, energetic, and caring team member to assist with our Work & Play Wednesdays program and one Friday evening program per month at ZyLand in Concord . Work & Play Wednesdays is a relaxed, supervised-play environment where parents may drop their children off or remain onsite and work from a designated coworking area. This is not a traditional classroom or highly structured enrichment program. Team members should be comfortable engaging children through play, coloring, toys, simple activities, snacks, and age-appropriate interaction while maintaining a safe and organized environment. Our monthly Friday programs may include drop-off childcare, enrichment nights, special activities, or themed events. Schedule Wednesdays Approximately 9:00 AM-12:00 PM Weekly availability preferred One Friday Per Month Typically an evening shift Approximately 3 hours Exact dates and times provided in advance Additional J&A KidCo events may occasionally be offered based on availability. Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision and care for children. Engage and interact with children during free play and simple activities. Help children with snacks and basic needs. Assist with diapers or pull-ups when necessary. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe play environment. Monitor children closely and follow J&A KidCo safety procedures. Help with setup and cleanup before and after programs. Welcome children and families in a friendly and professional manner. Communicate concerns, incidents, or important information to the J&A KidCo lead. Support other team members and help create a positive experience for every child. Follow parent instructions regarding each child's individual needs. Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Dependable and punctual Warm, patient, and comfortable working with young children Energetic and willing to actively engage with children Responsible and attentive Comfortable caring for multiple children in a group setting Able to take direction and work as part of a small team Comfortable with a play-based, flexible environment rather than a traditional classroom setting Professional when communicating with parents and families Preferred Qualifications Previous childcare, preschool, daycare, babysitting, camp, recreation, or youth-program experience CPR/First Aid certification Experience working with children approximately ages 2-8 Ability to pass any required background screening Physical Requirements Team members should be able to: Sit and play with children on the floor Bend, stand, and move throughout the play space Assist young children as needed Lift or carry a young child when necessary Remain actively engaged and attentive throughout the shift What We're Looking For Most Experience is helpful, but reliability and how you interact with children are extremely important to us. We want someone who genuinely enjoys working with kids, takes safety seriously, and can become a consistent and trusted member of the J&A KidCo team.

Pay:

$18.50 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 4.0 per week
