Hashi Market is Hiring! We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Seafood Associate to join our Fish Department. This position is responsible for preparing, packaging, stocking, and maintaining fresh seafood while providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities Prepare and process fresh fish and seafood for sale Clean, scale, gut, cut, and portion fish as needed Weigh, package, label, and price seafood products Stock and replenish seafood displays throughout the day Maintain attractive, fresh, and properly organized seafood displays Check seafood for freshness and quality and remove products that do not meet standards Follow proper product rotation and food safety procedures Assist customers with seafood selections and special preparation requests Receive and properly store incoming seafood deliveries Clean and sanitize cutting boards, knives, equipment, counters, sinks, floors, and work areas Maintain proper temperature and sanitation standards Follow all food safety, hygiene, and store procedures Perform other Fish Department duties as assigned Qualifications Previous seafood, fish cutting, grocery, restaurant, or food preparation experience preferred, but not required Experience handling and cutting fish is a plus Willing to learn seafood preparation and proper food handling procedures Reliable, responsible, and able to work efficiently Comfortable working with raw fish and seafood Comfortable working in refrigerated and wet environments Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks Able to lift and move boxes of seafood and supplies as needed Strong attention to cleanliness, food safety, and product quality Able to work independently and as part of a team Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays when scheduled
