RESTAURANT FOOD STAND CASHIER / TEAM MEMBER

Our historic pastrami food stand, located in the West Adams area of Los Angeles (east of Culver City), is looking for a new team member to assist with taking orders and plating the food for guests from inside our food stand. This is a fun and vibrant property with live music and DJs on some days. We are looking for friendly and personable candidates who love helping out the team, working in a fast-paced and fun environment, and providing great customer service. Having previous experience in the food and beverage industry is a wonderful plus! This would be a part-time position, working 3-4 shifts a week. You must be available to work Friday through Sunday, with most shifts being in the evenings, roughly 4pm-12am. You must be 21+ years in age as one of the job responsibilities would be to pour and serve alcoholic beverages. Tips are pooled between the Front of House and Back of House kitchen team based on the number of hours worked each week.

Responsibilities:

Greet customers and take orders. Become knowledgeable about all menu items and restaurant services. Accurately prepare and package orders. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Follow established safety and sanitation procedures for food handling and preparation. Monitor inventory levels and ingredient shortages and out-of-stocks. Complete all assigned housekeeping and property maintenance tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

Experience:

Be a fast learner, self-motivated, and reliable. Have proven work experience in casual dining restaurants or the food service industry. Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume. Food Handlers/Safe Serv certification required after hire. Be able to carry up to 50 lbs. and stand for at least 6 hours during a shift. Excellent References.
