This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for the food industry and a desire to contribute to a fast-paced kitchen environment. As part of our team, you will assist in food preparation, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and ensure adherence to food safety standards. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of all food products. Support catering operations by preparing food items for events as needed. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages. Qualifications Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is highly desirable. Experience in catering or working within a dietary department is a plus. Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques are advantageous. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are necessary for success in this role. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with kitchen work.
