Gelato by the Sea is looking for friendly, high-energy team members to scoop, serve, and keep our brand new Cannery Row location looking sharp. Afternoons, evenings, and weekends — this is a front-counter, people-facing role. What you'll do Scoop and serve gelato, build cups, cones, sundaes, and affogatos Run the register (Square), handle cash and cards, keep the line moving Keep the case full and beautiful: rotate pans, wipe glass, restock cones and toppings Open/close duties: sanitize scoops and wells, sweep, mop, take out trash Offer samples, know the flavors, make every customer want to come back What we're looking for Genuinely enjoys talking to people — tourists, families, big groups, all day Fast and clean under pressure; comfortable on your feet for a full shift Reliable, shows up on time, every scheduled shift Evening and weekend availability (shifts run to 10 PM) Cash handling or food service experience a plus, not required — we'll train you California Food Handler card (or willing to get one within 30 days) Why here Cannery Row foot traffic, keep all the tips you earn. (Can be upwards of $50/hr in tips on peak days)

Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 30.0 per week
