Job Description
OVERVIEW
The Deli Clerk is responsible for cleaning and preparing workstations and deli displays. They will assist customers by preparing and packing their selected products.WHAT DOES THE JOB PAY?
Starting pay is $18/hour, OR negotiable based on experience.ARE THERE ANY BENEFITS OR PERKS?

WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE LIKE?
- -Part time or Full time/Seasonal
- -6-8 hour shifts
- -Occasional overtime may be requested, but not required
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
In addition to the basic responsibilities of your position:- Greet & assist our customers and entire staff with enthusiasm & high energy (both in the store and on the phone)
- Continually improve your store & department knowledge, as well as your customer service skills
- Build familiarity & have joyful interactions with regular customers
- Positively respond to requests for help from customers, managers, and staff
- Follow the 3 Steps to Great Service & the 5 Steps to Handling A Customer Complaint
- Follow Opening, Closing and During Shift checklists
- Recognize where help is needed in all areas of the store & assist as needed
- Know the Elroy's mission & products to be able to answer questions
- Be knowledgeable about upcoming special events
- Build relationships with vendors
- Recognize, acknowledge & communicate errors and potential quality problems
- Assist in keeping dining areas, workspaces and the store neat, clean & sanitary
- Arrive on time for all shifts
- Adhere to dress code standards
- Answer phones
- Assist with deliveries in your department, and in others on occasion
- Handle monetary transactions & sales using our Point of Sale system
- Offer suggestions on how to up the positive energy in the store

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Standing, lifting, bending for the duration of an 8-hour shift
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Repetitive motion
- Fine manipulation of fingers and hands
