We've evolved into a large family of restaurants, products, and a non-profit which helps communities near and far. We not only strive to provide great food and hospitality, but also to provide an experience that will help our guests understand the culture and cuisine of Burma. The Prep Staff prepares a variety of food products including meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, sauces and other food products using a variety of equipment and utensils. They ensure the station assigned is well stocked for service and is kept clean and sanitary. The Prep Staff reports to the Kitchen Manager. Roles/Responsibilities Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc. Prepare dishes such as salads, soups, appetizers etc. Stores away delivered goods in appropriate location Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area Label and store food according to restaurant standards Work closely and communicate clearly with other kitchen members Attend all scheduled employee meetings Minimum Qualifications Able to acquire a California Food Handler's License (before or within 30 days of hiring) Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift heavy items Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits Preferred Qualifications 2+ years service experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment Equal Opportunity Employer Burma Inc. provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
