An Adult Beverage Associates job is to select, price, display, and promote Beer, Liquor, & Wine while working with a department team to meet objectives for sales, margin, inventory control, labor, and customer service. An Adult Beverage Associate is also tasked with ensuring department cleanliness, price integrity, quality control, merchandising, and receiving. You will leverage your own experience and knowledge of these categories to create sales plans, execute promotions, oversee category management, build relationships with vendors and local suppliers, foster a culture of collaboration across the stores while supporting merchandising decisions.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years experience in Beer, Liquor, or Wine retail operations or equivalent experience Advanced knowledge of Beer, Liquor, & Wine products and ability to reference customer questions Must have basic knowledge of math, weights, and measures. Ability to set challenging goals, and work through others to achieve results Knowledge of current trends in the grocery industry with an emphasis on Beer, Liquor, & Wine Proficient knowledge of Beer, Liquor, & Wine Organized, consistently follows through on commitments Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple demands Communications skills - clear directions, good listener Positive attitude Experience serving the public Ability to project friendly, outgoing personality The potential for prolonged standing, walking, squatting, and/or bending Ability to lift heavy boxes up to 50 lbs. and team lift rarely up to 75 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods Frequent use of hands Occasionally required to climb, balance and stoop, kneel or crouch Ability to work in cold, wet conditions Ability to read and interpret documents such as department manuals and reports Ability to prioritize work tasks, multi-task, and maintain focus Willingness to work weekends Regular, predictable attendance Willingness and ability to learn and grow to meet the changing requirements of the job Travel may be required Evening/night work may be required Occasional high stress when dealing with systems/customers/staff Working a flexible schedule to include a variety of shifts - afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays.
