Job Description
Overview Join our Front of House team. In this role you become the welcoming face of our local bakery and cafe! As the first point of contact for customers, you will ensure they enjoy a friendly experience through exceptional service, efficient order management, and a positive attitude. Your positive energy and enthusiasm will help create an atmosphere where guests feel welcome, appreciated, and eager to return. Duties Smile and greet customers warmly. Provide attentive, friendly service to enhance their dining or shopping experience. Take customer orders accurately using our Square POS system. Become knowledgeable about our menu and be able to explain our delicious offerings to our guests. Be our barista! Make coffee, espresso drinks, matcha, and other hot & cold beverages. Manage customer orders efficiently, ensuring timely delivery and satisfaction. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including sanitation of counters, equipment, and dining areas in compliance with food safety regulations. Practice safety and attention to detail while preforming food handling activities. Process cash transactions accurately, including handling cash register operations and cash handling procedures. Assist customers with product selection and checkout processes. Ensure adherence to food safety practices and sanitation standards at all times. Experience Previous experience as a barista or front of house server is highly desirable. Familiarity with restaurant POS systems is preferred. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of food service sanitation and safety protocols is advantageous. Serv Safe certification required. Ability skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods. Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service with a positive attitude. Basic math skills for processing cash transactions and managing sales accurately. This is NOT seasonal employment. We are looking for steady, long-term team members to join our crew.
