You will craft high-quality artisan Italian sandwiches and fresh salads. You will maintain a spotless kitchen environment and assist in regular cleaning maintenance. Assist guests at the counter/customer servce. This hybrid position combines food assembly, direct customer service, and essential regular cleaning duties. The ideal candidate is friendly, takes pride in beautiful food presentation, and ensures top-tier kitchen hygiene. Fluent in English required
Key Responsibilities Food Preparation & Assembly Artisan Sandwiches:
Build premium Italian sandwiches using scratch-made breads, high-quality meats, cheeses, and spreads.
Prep:
Prep fresh greens, vegetables, and dressings to build vibrant, consistent salads. Prep sandwich ingredients and other food
Portion Control:
Slice meats, cheeses, and toppings precisely to maintain consistency and minimize waste.
Ingredient Maintenance:
Restock assembly stations and rotate ingredients using first-in, first-out (FIFO) standards.
Cleaning & Kitchen Safety Station Hygiene:
Deep-clean prep surfaces, cutting boards, slicing machines, and refrigeration units daily.
Dishwashing:
Wash, sanitize, and properly store pots, pans, utensils, and service ware.
Floor Care:
Sweep and mop kitchen floors, prep areas, and walk-in coolers regularly.
Waste Management:
Empty trash, recycling, and compost bins safely throughout the shift.
Customer Service & Front-of-House Guest Assistance:
Greet customers warmly, take food orders accurately, and answer menu questions.
Order Processing:
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, handle cash, and process card payments.
Order Packaging:
Package sandwiches, salads, and prepared foods securely for dine-in or takeout.
Required Qualifications Experience:
Previous experience in customer service, retail, food prep, or kitchen cleaning is preferred.
Communication:
Strong communication skills with a friendly, welcoming, and customer-first attitude.
Physical Stamina:
Capacity to stand for long periods, move quickly, and lift up to 40 pounds.
Reliability:
Punctual and dependable, with a strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications:
Current food handler's card or willingness to obtain one upon hire.
Pay:
$19.00 - $23.00 per hour
