Bartenders & Servers Lil Vic is a new wood-fired French bistro set in a historic Victorian farmhouse. Our food is rooted in French technique, driven by the seasons, and centered around local products. Our beverage program will feature a French-centric wine list alongside a thoughtful cocktail program. Our approach to service is warm, knowledgeable, and genuine. We are looking for bartenders and servers to join our opening team. We want to build a dining room where great hospitality doesn't feel formal or rehearsed. It should feel personal. Our team should be able to read the table, understand what each guest is looking for, and provide thoughtful, knowledgeable service without losing the warmth and personality that make people want to come back.
THE BAR PROGRAM
We are looking for the right fit to help us establish the foundation of our bar program, starting with the classics that we feel fit Lil Vic and the experience we want to create. From that foundation, the program will grow and evolve. We want our bartenders to be part of that process—bringing their experience, ideas, and creativity to the table as we begin to develop cocktails that reflect the identity of Lil Vic. This is an opportunity for an experienced bartender to put their fingerprints on a new program. As we learn what works, what our guests respond to, and what feels natural alongside our food and wine, we will build the program together. Our kitchen, the seasons, the products we work with, and our French perspective will all provide inspiration. We want the bar to develop organically from those influences while giving our bartenders the freedom to contribute their own point of view. Ultimately, we want to create a cocktail program that feels like it belongs here—thoughtful, approachable, and distinctly Lil Vic.
EXPERIENCED BARTENDERS
Bartending positions at Lil Vic are for experienced bartenders. This requirement goes beyond the ability to make drinks. Our bartenders will function as an integral part of the service team. They need to understand the rhythm of a dining room, anticipate what the team needs, communicate clearly with servers and the kitchen, and recognize that taking care of the restaurant extends beyond the traditional boundaries of the bar. We are looking for bartenders who can balance craft with hospitality. You should have a strong understanding of classic cocktails, spirits, technique, organization, and execution. You should be comfortable engaging with guests while maintaining an awareness of everything happening around you. We also want people who bring ideas to the table without ego. There will be an opportunity to contribute creatively to the program, but that creativity should always support the restaurant and the guest experience as a whole. SERVERS Our servers should be able to guide a guest through their experience rather than simply take an order. That means understanding the food we serve, knowing where our ingredients come from, and developing a strong working knowledge of our food, wine, and beverage program. We want our servers to be attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without lecturing, and professional without feeling scripted.

You don't need to know everything when you walk through the door, but you should want to learn. We want Lil Vic to be a place where people become better at what they do. Training won't stop when we open the doors. We will continue learning about food, wine, spirits, producers, service, and hospitality together.
