In this role, you'll be the friendly face behind the deli counter, preparing and serving fresh, high-quality deli items while ensuring a clean and organized workspace. Your energy and attention to detail will help deliver exceptional customer service, promote sales, and maintain food safety standards. Duties Prepare and assemble deli items such as meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches according to company standards and customer preferences Operate POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently Engage with customers by providing friendly service, answering questions about products, and offering upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace by following proper sanitation protocols and food safety guidelines Manage food handling responsibilities including slicing, packaging, and storing deli products safely Operate kitchen equipment such as slicers, ovens, and refrigerators with care and adherence to safety procedures Process cash transactions accurately while handling cash register operations and cash handling responsibilities Requirements Previous food service or quick service restaurant experience preferred; familiarity with deli or café environments is a plus Knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales processing Strong food preparation skills with an understanding of food safety management and sanitation practices Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure smooth operations Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and inventory management Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and maintaining a clean workspace Retail sales experience with a focus on upselling and customer service excellence is desirable Join us to be part of a lively team dedicated to delivering quality food experiences!
