Our family-friendly store is looking to add on a new member to the team who will work in our deli department. We are seeking an individual who is either knowledgeable and experienced OR completely new and willing to learn how to successfully work in this environment. Duties Prepare and assemble a variety of deli foods, including sandwiches, salads, and hot items, following safety and quality standards Serve customers with a friendly attitude, taking their orders and upselling products to enhance their experience Manage food handling responsibilities while maintaining strict food safety and sanitation protocols Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including sanitizing surfaces and storing ingredients properly Operate kitchen equipment safely, such as slicers, ovens, and warming trays, to ensure efficient food preparation Experience Previous experience in food service or quick service restaurant environments preferred but not required; training will be provided Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Strong customer service skills Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures preferred but not required Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a retail or restaurant setting is advantageous
