Duties Prepare and assemble deli products according to company standards, ensuring freshness and quality. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Manage customer orders with friendly service, upselling products when appropriate to boost sales. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, including food handling and workspace organization. Operate kitchen equipment safely, including slicers, warmers, and other food prep tools. Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, and balance cash drawers at shift end. Assist with inventory management by restocking deli items and monitoring product freshness. Experience Prior experience in food preparation or quick service/fast food restaurant environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability in retail sales transactions and cash handling using POS systems such as Aloha or Micros. Strong understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting. Previous culinary or café experience is a plus, along with familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely. Customer service experience that highlights effective communication and upselling techniques. Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash register operations.
