Responsibilities Assist in food preparation, including cooking, grilling, frying, smoking, and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring proper use and maintenance of tools such as knives, stoves, ovens, and food processing machines Follow food safety sanitizing procedures meticulously to ensure a hygienic kitchen environment that complies with health regulations Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients and assisting with recipe adherence for consistent quality Handle food safely during all stages of food handling and production, including portioning, plating, and packaging Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area through regular sanitizing of surfaces, utensils, and equipment in accordance with food safety management protocols Collaborate with team members to meet high-volume production demands while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards Requirements Proven food service experience in restaurant or catering environments with a focus on food handling and safety procedures Strong culinary skills including proficiency in cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and other food preparation methods Knowledge of operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and effectively Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation in high-volume settings Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and food safety management practices Excellent knife skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Previous experience in fine dining or high-volume production environments is advantageous Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety Embark on your culinary journey with us!
