Server / Wine Sales Associate — Preface Wine Bar, Delray Beach About the role Preface is a 28-seat wine bar and retail bottle shop, and this role lives in both worlds. One minute you're guiding a table through a flight, the next you're helping a customer pick out bottles to take home. You'll pour, sell, and talk wine all day — no wine encyclopedia required on day one, but genuine curiosity is. What you'll do Deliver warm, knowledgeable service in an intimate 28-seat room Guide guests through our by-the-glass list, wine flights, and food menu (cheese and charcuterie boards, conservas) Assist retail customers with bottle selection and gifting Support daily operations: opening/closing duties, restocking, keeping the space guest-ready Participate in ongoing wine education and tastings with our Wine Director What we're looking for 1+ years of restaurant, bar, or retail experience (wine experience a plus, not required) Genuine interest in wine and a desire to learn Warm, unpretentious hospitality style — we make wine approachable Reliability and ownership; we're a small team where everyone matters Available evenings and weekends; Tuesday-Sunday operation Ability to obtain responsible vendor training (we'll help) What we offer Competitive hourly rate plus tips (pooled per shift, paid every payroll) Structured wine education — tastings, distributor visits, and mentorship from our Wine Director Employee discount on retail bottles Small, owner-operated team where your input shapes how we grow A brand-new space with great energy in downtown Delray To apply, send a short note about yourself along with your resume — tell us the last bottle you loved, or the one you're curious about.
