Duties Prepare and assemble sandwiches, salads, and other menu items with precision, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Operate POS systems such as Square POS to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, answering questions about menu options, and upselling additional items to enhance their experience. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, food prep areas, dining spaces, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards. Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including cash handling, change making, and balancing cash drawers at shift end. Assist with food handling tasks such as stocking supplies, bussing tables, and ensuring food safety protocols are followed at all times. Support team members by managing time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality or safety. Experience Previous experience in food preparation or working in a quick service or fast food restaurant is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order totaling. Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques. Experience working in a café, grocery store, or retail environment is a plus. Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
