Experienced Restaurant Front of House Associate Schedule & Availability Weekend availability is required for this position. Our greatest staffing need is currently for closing shifts, typically beginning around 3:30 PM . Applicants must have reliable availability for a combination of weekday and weekend closing shifts. Pudgees Eatery - Floral City, FL Pudgees Eatery is looking for an experienced, dependable Front of House Associate to join our team. This is an important, fast-paced customer-facing position and is not an entry-level restaurant role . We are looking for someone with previous restaurant or hospitality experience who understands how to work efficiently, stay organized, communicate clearly, and provide excellent service even when business gets busy. Our Front of House Associate is often the first impression our guests have of Pudgees . You'll greet customers, help them navigate our menu, accurately take orders, communicate with the kitchen, assist with expo and food running, and help keep the entire front-of-house operation flowing smoothly. What You'll Do Greet customers with genuine, friendly hospitality Learn our menu and confidently answer questions and make recommendations Accurately take customer orders and process payments through our POS system Communicate clearly with customers, kitchen staff, and other team members Assist with expo to ensure orders are accurate, complete, and presented properly Run food and assist customers in the dining room as needed Manage multiple priorities during busy, high-volume periods Pay close attention to order details, modifications, and special requests Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming front counter and dining area Sell beer and wine in accordance with applicable laws and company procedures Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, stocking, and other restaurant duties Work as part of a team and step in wherever needed to keep service running smoothly Who We're Looking For Our ideal candidate is someone who: Has previous restaurant, food service, or hospitality experience Is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Is dependable, punctual, and takes their work schedule seriously Has excellent communication and customer-service skills Is friendly and personable while remaining professional Can multitask without losing attention to detail Is organized, structured, and able to follow established procedures Can confidently communicate with both customers and coworkers Understands the importance of accuracy and consistency Can remain calm and productive during busy rushes Takes initiative and doesn't need to be constantly directed Works well as part of a team Is willing to learn our menu and become knowledgeable enough to guide customers Meets the legal requirements for selling beer and wine Experience Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is strongly preferred. We are specifically looking for someone who already understands the pace, expectations, teamwork, and attention to detail required in a restaurant environment. With tips, our team members typically average approximately $17-$25/hour in total earnings , depending on shift volume and tips received.
