Overview Agmenity designs and operates small-scale, sustainable farms that are geared to connecting the broader community with local food. Our team members play an integral role in the day-to-day production needs related to a year-round, diversified vegetable operation, and help create a welcoming and positive environment that engages and inspires the community through a beautiful farm space. The Field Crew Member is a part-time role (~20 - 30 hours per week) and there is some schedule flexibility as to the specific days of the week (and hours per day) that each team member would work. This role is a highly physical, hands-on farming job that will spend much of their work day out in the fields. The farm only uses sustainable & organic farming practices to grow a broad diversity of vegetables, herbs, and flowers, and the work includes: Planting, weeding, harvesting, washing, and distributing farm produce; working with small equipment & tools (including BCS tractor); greenhouse & tunnel management; among other farm oriented duties & tasks Maintaining a disciplined and well-paced work environment Ensuring premium quality of all produce leaving the farm and curating an aesthetically beautiful farm space Maintaining sanitary, safe and organized work and storage areas Participating & actively supporting a positive, enjoyable, and healthy work environment for all team members and project stakeholders Experience Ideal candidates have some direct vegetable farming experience and/or other dedicated plant and agricultural experience. That said, we are open to hiring individuals who are new to farming but have a keen interest in sustainable & organic farming and have demonstrated a desire to have farming and agriculture be part of your life path. Education Applicants with education (formal and informal) in agriculture and other select areas will be given special consideration. $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
