The Deli Associate plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety within the deli department. Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and slicing. Basic math skills for handling transactions and measuring portions. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working in a deli, food service, or retail environment. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques. Familiarity with deli equipment such as slicers and scales. Customer service training or experience. Bilingual abilities to assist a diverse customer base.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and slice deli meats, cheeses, and other products according to customer specifications and company standards. Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service, answering questions and assisting with product selections. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of deli workstations, equipment, and display cases in compliance with health and safety regulations. Stock and rotate deli products to ensure freshness and minimize waste. Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and monitoring product expiration dates.
