This role focuses on ingredient preparation, portion consistency, presentation, and maintaining a clean and organized prep area. Responsibilities Prepare salads and cold dishes according to menu specifications. Wash, cut, portion, and organize fresh produce and other ingredients. Prepare dressings, toppings, garnishes, and salad components. Maintain proper portion sizes and presentation standards. Keep ingredients stocked and properly stored throughout service. Check freshness and quality of produce before preparation. Communicate ingredient shortages or prep needs to the kitchen team. Maintain clean and sanitary preparation surfaces and equipment. Follow food-safety, storage, and sanitation procedures. Assist with other kitchen preparation duties during busy periods. Qualifications Previous salad, prep cook, or restaurant kitchen experience preferred. Knowledge of basic food-preparation and knife skills. Strong attention to cleanliness, freshness, and presentation. Able to work efficiently during busy service periods. Good communication and teamwork skills. Comfortable standing for extended periods. Reliable and able to follow recipes and kitchen procedures.
