Job Summary We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Prep & Sandwich Team Member to join our bakery production team. This position is responsible for preparing sandwiches, ingredients, baked goods, and other kitchen items according to Tous les Jours recipes and quality standards. This is an early-morning position starting at 4:00 AM , and candidates must be dependable and able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts. Weekend availability is required. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to established recipes, portions, and presentation standards. Prepare ingredients including vegetables, meats, cheeses, sauces, fillings, and other items needed for daily production. Assist with preparation of bakery and cake-related items as assigned. Follow daily production sheets and ensure products are prepared accurately and on time. Label, date, store, and rotate ingredients and finished products properly. Monitor freshness and quality of ingredients and finished products. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout the shift. Follow proper food handling, temperature control, cross-contamination prevention, and sanitation procedures. Wash and sanitize equipment, utensils, worktables, and production areas. Assist with inventory, receiving, stocking, and organizing ingredients and supplies. Minimize product waste and report shortages or quality concerns to management. Support bakers, cake decorators, and other kitchen team members as needed. Follow all Tous les Jours standards and local health department requirements. Qualifications Previous kitchen prep, sandwich preparation, bakery, café, restaurant, or food production experience preferred. Must be available to start at 4:00 AM. Weekend availability required. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail. Ability to follow recipes, portioning instructions, and production procedures. Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive kitchen tasks. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed. Food Handler Certificate required or must be obtained within the required timeframe after hiring.
