Our Egg Room Crew plays a vital role in making sure every egg meets our quality standards before it leaves the farm. Position Summary We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented, and hard-working team member to join our Egg Room Crew as a Part-Time Egg Washer. In addition to washing and packing eggs, you may also help at times with chicken care and egg collecting during the summer months.Responsibilities may include:
- Washing and sanitizing eggs using our commercial egg washing equipment
- Inspecting eggs for quality, removing cracked or dirty ones
- Packing eggs into cartons or flats Packing cartons or flats into boxes, and stacking boxes onto a pallet
- Cleaning equipment and facilities at end-of-day after washing has concluded
- Following all food safety and handling guidelines Requirements
- Must get along well with others and have a positive attitude
- Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time and work quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Must have attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Must be punctual
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs
- Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must be comfortable being around live poultry
- Must be willing to listen and take instruction from supervisors Schedule & Pay
- 2-3 days per week
- 8-hour shifts (daytime hours)
- $15/hour starting pay
- Opportunity for more hours during peak times and/or as business grows
