This energetic role involves physically removing unwanted debris, furniture, and other materials from residential, commercial, and municipal sites. You will operate various trucks and equipment, ensuring efficient and safe waste removal while providing excellent customer service. Duties Operate front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, roll-off trucks, and other commercial waste management vehicles in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and state transportation laws. Load and unload debris, furniture, appliances, and hazardous materials while adhering to hazardous materials regulations. Safely drive route trucks along designated municipal waste management routes, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs. Use manual tools and mechanical knowledge to assist with heavy lifting and waste collection tasks. Follow safety protocol adherence at all times, including air brake operation and traffic laws compliance during outdoor work. Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during waste collection appointments. Maintain cleanliness of trucks and equipment; perform routine inspections for mechanical issues. Ensure proper disposal of waste according to local regulations and environmental standards. Experience Prior experience operating front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, or roll-off trucks is highly preferred. Valid commercial truck driving license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission is a plus. Knowledge of solid waste management practices and heavy equipment operation. Familiarity with traffic laws, DOT regulations, hazard materials regulations, and safety protocols related to waste collection. Outdoor work experience in physically demanding environments; ability to lift heavy loads repeatedly. Delivery driver experience or route driving background is advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic truck maintenance checks. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
