Responsibilities Provide attentive pet care by feeding, administering medication, and monitoring health during their stay Handle animals with gentle restraint and proper dog handling techniques to ensure safety for pets and staff Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and common spaces through regular sanitization and grooming tasks Assist with pet boarding, pet sitting, and outdoor activities to keep pets active and engaged Support animal behavior management through positive reinforcement and training methods Safely lift heavy items such as supplies during daily operations (team lifting when necessary) Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs, behaviors, and special instructions Ensure facility sanitation standards are met consistently to promote a healthy environment for animals Assist with outdoor work activities like yard cleanup or outdoor play sessions as needed Follow all safety protocols related to animal restraint, handling, and facility operations to prevent injuries Experience Candidates should bring a passion for animals combined with relevant experience such as veterinary experience, veterinary technician or assistant roles, kennel experience, or pet sitting. Prior dog training or pet grooming experience is highly valued. Familiarity with animal behavior principles, animal restraint techniques, and pet care facility sanitization will set you apart.
