Position Overview:

As a Seafood Clerk, you'll assist in preparing, stocking, and presenting seafood products while delivering exceptional customer service. You'll ensure freshness, cleanliness, and compliance with food safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Stock, rotate, and display fresh and frozen seafood products Monitor product freshness and ensure proper storage and temperature control Clean and sanitize seafood cases, equipment, and prep areas regularly Package, weigh, and label seafood items accurately Assist customers with seafood selection, cooking tips, and special requests Follow all food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures Unload and organize seafood deliveries Support department manager and coworkers as needed

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old Friendly and professional with strong customer service skills Comfortable handling raw seafood and working in wet, cold environments Willing to obtain a food handler permit (McKeever's will assist) Ability to follow instructions and work independently

Physical Requirements:

Stand for extended periods (4-8 hour shifts) Lift and carry up to 40 lbs Frequent bending, reaching, and use of hands for cutting, wrapping, and packaging Work in cold and damp conditions
