• Job Description A Deli Associate at Acquistapace's is responsible for preparing, packaging, and serving deli products while providing excellent customer service.

This role ensures food quality, cleanliness, and efficiency in a fast-paced retail or grocery environment. Key Responsibilities Greet customers and take orders for deli items such as meats, cheeses, salads, and prepared foods Slice, weigh, and package products according to customer requests Maintain proper food safety and sanitation standards (cleaning equipment, surfaces, and storage areas) Stock and rotate products in display cases, ensuring freshness and proper labeling Operate deli equipment such as slicers, scales, and ovens safely Assist with food preparation, including sandwiches, salads, fruit or produce and hot foods Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or spoilage Bread baking will be a particular responsibility of this role Required Skills & Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Basic math skills for weighing and pricing items Knowledge of food safety practices (or willingness to learn) Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights (20-50 lbs) Teamwork and reliability Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in food service, grocery, or deli environments Familiarity with deli slicing equipment and food prep Bread or other baking skills are particularly useful Work Environment Retail grocery store, deli counter, or supermarket setting May involve early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Frequent standing, bending, and handling of food products
