Changing Tides Café — Newburyport Waterfront Winner of Newburyport Magazine's Best of Newburyport Changing Tides Café is a busy breakfast and coffee spot on the waterfront in Newburyport. We serve egg sandwiches, George Howell coffee, A&J King pastries, and lunch to a mix of regulars, boaters, and summer visitors. We're looking for someone to join our morning team. Shifts are between 6:30 AM to 2:45 PM, 3-4 days a week — 28 to 35 hours. There is flexibility for people who want shorter shifts. No nights. No late closes. You're done by mid-afternoon. Weekend availability is desired.

Pay:

$17-20/hour depending on experience, plus tips. We're looking to fill this within the next two weeks. What you'll do You'll learn and work across the counter, kitchen, and coffee bar rather than being stuck at one station. Build breakfast and lunch sandwiches on the grill and cold line, quickly and to spec Take orders and run the register on Toast Pull espresso drinks, cold brew, and iced coffee Pack Dock-to-Go orders for boaters Keep prep areas, the dining room, and equipment clean and stocked throughout the shift Follow food safety and food-handling standards Jump between stations and help wherever we're busiest If you haven't worked as a barista before, that's okay — we'll train you on the bar. What we're looking for You don't need years of experience. Some food service, café, or kitchen experience is helpful, but we're more interested in finding someone who is reliable, learns quickly, and works well with a small team. You'll do well here if you: Can keep your head and stay organized when the morning rush hits Are comfortable talking with customers and working a register Can move quickly without getting sloppy Have reliable transportation ServSafe or an allergen certificate is a plus, not a requirement.
