General Manager Position Summary:
The Crew Member at a Fuel America Café is one of the most valued positions as they make the first impression on the guests, welcoming them to the Café and delivering heightened hospitality.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
Model, promote and display integrity for Fuel America it's culture, Mission, Vision and Values Ensure all guests receive outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, smile and promote a friendly atmosphere by acknowledging every guest. Maintains and delivers high quality products. Upsell and make recommendations to guests on a regular basis. Follow all specifications, and procedures within Fuel America recipes and training materials. Ensure all countertop surfaces are clean and complete the figure 8s through the café every 15 minutes. Ensuring all beverages are freshly brewed and back stock prepped. Ensure the food line, cash register area and dining room is clean, organized and inviting to guests, including the restroom. Ensure all stations are stocked including side stations, pastry case, grab-and-go, coffee mugs and self-service station. Maintaining beverage offering, ensuring expiration times and dates. Ensure products have proper date /dot sticker on them. Within the food station, ensure all equipment is turned on and adequately stocked and ready for the day. Ensure your hands are washed and gloves are worn and changed when traveling between different zones of the café. Complete food preparation as required and according to Fuel America standards. Assist with dishes throughout the day. Ensure restrooms are maintained, and all surfaces are cleaned and sanitized. Trash and recyclables must be emptied as needed and at the end of each day. Ensure all products are regularly rotated to ensure clean and tidy, FIFO (first in, first out). Ensure the Eversys Enigma Espresso machine ran the overnight cleaning process. Ensure all coffee related items are stocked and prepared for the day. Ensure clearly label sanitizer buckets are set up and maintained thought the day. Handle guest complaints in a timely manner, inquiring about the quality of a guest's dining experience, thanking guests, and inviting them to return. Cross train and assist with all aspects of the café.

Required Skills/ Abilities:
Accuracy when entering orders into the Point of Service (POS) system Thorough knowledge of the menu items Reliable, able to show up to work on time and for each scheduled shift Proactive with all work-related tasks Positive attitude with guests and co-workers and has fun at work Clear and friendly communication Understanding of time management Attention to detail Cooperates with all team members
Education and Experience:
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States and able to provide appropriate documentation to complete the form I-9 within 3 days of employment Must be 18 years of age Have an acceptable criminal background check Experience working in a food service environment preferred, but not required Excellent interpersonal communication skills and strong interest in Guest Services Basic math skills; able to make change accurately Basic computer knowledge including Point of Service (POS) experience
Physical Requirements:
Ability to communicate with Guests and all co-workers Ability to perform basic addition and subtractions and make correct change Ability to process information through the POS register system Ability to lift up to - 50-lb. boxes of product Ability to work in cold or warm environment and react to timers Ability to climb ladders and bend at the waist to clean equipment Ability to use hands, arms, shoulders and back to build menu items for up to 6-8 hour periods Ability to work around industrial-strength cleaners Ability to weigh and measure during prepping process Ability to stand for up to 6-8 hours without a break Employment type: Variable hour employee based on operational needs; this is a non-exempt position under the FLSA requirements.
