This role assists with coffee and beverage preparation, customer service, order processing, café cleanliness, stocking, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. Common Job Roles Café Beverage Associate Beverage Service Associate Barista Associate Café Team Member Coffee Service Associate Key Responsibilities Prepare coffee, espresso, tea, specialty beverages, and other café drinks according to service standards Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service Take customer orders and process payments accurately Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, POS systems, and other café equipment as trained Ensure beverages are prepared accurately and consistently Assist with food preparation, packaging, and customer orders as needed Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary beverage preparation and service areas Restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, ingredients, cups, lids, and other café supplies Monitor ingredient freshness and follow proper storage procedures Clean and sanitize beverage equipment, utensils, counters, and workstations Assist team members during busy service periods Follow food safety, sanitation, cash-handling, and workplace safety procedures Support opening, closing, and general café duties Requirements Previous café, coffee shop, restaurant, barista, retail, or customer service experience is an asset but not required Strong communication and interpersonal skills Basic math and payment-handling abilities Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café environment Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Ability to stand for extended periods and multitask Preferred Skills Experience preparing coffee, espresso, tea, or specialty beverages Knowledge of basic coffee and beverage preparation techniques Familiarity with café POS systems and beverage equipment Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities Good organization and time management skills Positive attitude and willingness to learn About the Company Cafe Sous Terre operates in the café and beverage service industry, providing coffee, beverages, and customer-focused café experiences.
