This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in great food and service, and thrives in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Team Member, you will play an important role in creating an excellent guest experience while supporting the day-to-day operations of University Weiner. You will gain hands-on experience in customer service, food preparation, restaurant operations, teamwork, and hospitality.

Responsibilities:

Guest Experience & Customer Service Provide friendly, energetic, and professional service to every guest. Greet customers and create a welcoming restaurant environment. Take accurate orders and process transactions. Answer questions about the menu and make recommendations when appropriate. Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly. Maintain a hospitality-first attitude throughout every shift. Create positive interactions that encourage guests to return. Food Preparation & Quality Prepare food according to University Weiner recipes and standards. Assemble menu items accurately and efficiently. Maintain consistency in portioning, presentation, and quality. Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures. Monitor food quality and notify management of any issues. Assist with preparation and restocking throughout the shift. Restaurant Operations Operate POS systems and restaurant technology. Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked work area. Complete opening and closing responsibilities. Restock food, packaging, and supplies as needed. Clean equipment, workstations, dining areas, and other restaurant spaces. Follow University Weiner standard operating procedures. Assist with inventory and product organization. Support the team with additional operational tasks as needed. Teamwork & Communication Work effectively with other team members and management. Communicate clearly and professionally during busy periods. Help create a positive and respectful team environment. Support teammates when additional help is needed. Arrive on time and prepared for every scheduled shift. Take ownership of assigned responsibilities. Restaurant Growth & Brand Support Represent the University Weiner brand professionally. Help create memorable guest experiences. Provide feedback and ideas to improve restaurant operations. Support catering, events, promotions, and special initiatives when needed. Help maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall image of the restaurant. Qualifications Previous restaurant or customer service experience is preferred, but not required. Strong communication and customer service skills. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Reliable and dependable. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Hospitality-first mindset. Ability to stand for up to 6 hours. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
