Position Summary:

Surface Flooring is seeking an experienced, reliable Flooring Crew Leader to run installation teams. This role is built for a seasoned professional looking for a stable, 40-hour work week with a great lifestyle balance. You will lead diverse installation crew on both commercial and residential job sites. We provide all tools and project locations. You just need to show up daily, communicate effectively, and lead by example.

Key Responsibilities Lead Teams:

Manage, guide, and work alongside multiple diverse installation crews.

Execute Installs:

Lay carpet, Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP), and sheet vinyl from start to finish.

Manage Job Sites:

Oversee preparation, high-quality installation, and thorough post-job cleanup.

Maintain Safety:

Ensure a clean, organized workspace and responsible tool use.

Communicate Daily:

Maintain consistent, professional communication with the office and your crew.

Qualifications Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of professional flooring installation experience.

Technical Skills:

Complete proficiency in laying Carpet, LVP, and Sheet Vinyl (Commercial and Residential).

Leadership:

Proven ability to manage, respect, and work collaboratively with a team.

Background & Transport:

Must pass a background check and have reliable transportation.

Physical Ability:

Willingness to crouch, squat, stand, and repeatedly lift 50 to 75 pounds.

Work Ethic:

Strong history of punctuality and consistent daily attendance.

Compensation & Environment Employment Type:

1099 subcontractor position.

Pay Structure:

Competitive hourly pay based on your documented flooring background.

Pay Re-negotiation:

Demonstrating full start-to-finish mastery of carpet, LVP, and sheet vinyl will trigger an immediate hourly rate re-negotiation.

Tools Provided:

No personal tools required. We provide all tools and job sites.

Work-Life Balance:

Steady 40 hours per week with guaranteed weekends off.

THIS POSITION DOESN'T INCLUDE CARPENTRY OR REFINISHING FLOORS. WE INSTALL MINIMAL HARDWOOD FLOORING.
