Responsibilities Prepare and assemble a variety of deli products, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Use knife skills to slice meats and cheeses accurately and efficiently while adhering to food safety guidelines. Assist customers by providing friendly service, answering questions about products, and offering meal suggestions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including food handling stations and storage spaces. Follow proper food safety procedures during all stages of food handling and preparation to ensure compliance with health regulations. Support catering orders by preparing large quantities of deli items for events or special occasions. Restock supplies regularly to ensure the deli is well-stocked with fresh ingredients and packaging materials. Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or the food industry is highly preferred. Strong knife skills and experience with food preparation techniques are essential. Knowledge of cooking methods, meal preparation, and general kitchen operations. Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling practices. Excellent serving skills with a friendly attitude towards customers. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Culinary experience or kitchen experience is a plus; willingness to learn new skills is valued.
